If we want to store the wine bottles at our home we can do it by following up some steps. Since very early, we have been following the procedures those are being followed by the wine keepers. In large scale, the storage process is quite different, the keeper has to build a bigger construction, I mean the big wine cellar. For storing the wine at our home we need to be careful in certain matters. If you don't have enough money then you can make a cost effective wine cellar at home.

Heat and Light

The first and foremost thing is to keep the wine out of heat and light. We all know that heat exposure leads the damage of the wine its color, taste and flavor. Especially the white wine is very much sensitive to the sunlight, red wine is also sensitive to sunshine but in the sunlight exposure much damage is done of the white wine. The wines are bottled in different colors that somehow cause less harm to the wine. Simultaneously the UV ray is much harmful. For storing wine at home, ideal temperature is 45 degree Fahrenheit and 65 degree Fahrenheit. Considering the atmospheric pressure the ideal temperature is said to be around 55 degree Fahrenheit.

Choosing the Dark Place

In the process of storing wine, we always need to keep the wine containers in a dark place so that the wine cannot be affected. For cooling at home we should use fridge where it could be stored at a very low temperature. At the same time, in the fridging condition at home we will be able to keep it under low atmospheric pressure; as a result oxidation process will decrease.

Choosing the Proper Order for Keeping Wine Bottles

The ideal way of keeping of the wine bottles is sidewise but horizontally, the racks have to be kept in such a manner that there must not take any vibration. If the vibration happens and it continuous at regular basis there may be chemical reactions, which may cause blast and accident.

Maintaining the Humidity and Moisture

The essential other points is to keep proper humidity level and moisture level. The ideal humidity level is 70%, at the room condition level of humidity may vary, from 60 -78%, if you wish to keep the wine for ten or more years long you have to be very much conscious about these factors. You must be conscious about the fact that moisture must not affect the opening or cork and in the same way bottle must not be dried out. Always 50 - 80 % level humidity is safe. Sometimes a pan of water can be placed at the wine storage area, for storing the wine in a better way.

There are so many procedures for maintaining a standard of wine for some years. In large scale, we can do it by investigating much money, and like an industry based process. At the same time we can store up the wine at our home and can keep the tasted, aroma, flavor intact. Through the stated process we can do it.
